I am working in Dr. Mark A. Sussman's Lab studying the cardiopulmonary effect of e-cigarettes and vaping. In the Fall 2022 semester, I started working on my new project to identify if aerobic exercise can limit the damage and restore the function of the heart and lungs of mice after vaping-associated pulmonary injury (VAPI).

As a UM-SMART scholar, I am working under the guidance of Dr. Santhi Ganesh, whose research focuses on investigating the genetic mechanisms underlying vascular remodeling associated with vascular diseases such as Fibromuscular Dysplasia (FMD) and Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD). Specifically, my summer project aims to explore the involvement of the Phosphatase and Actin Regulator 1 (PHACTR1) gene in the development of vascular disease phenotypes.
